November is American Diabetes Month! According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC,) adults with disabilities are more than twice as likely to have reported having diabetes compared to adults without. NCHPAD has created an online Diabetes Prevention Awareness Campaign to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in the National Diabetes Prevention Program and other interventions. The campaign contains an online social media toolkit with messaging targeting adults with disabilities as well as graphics and posters in English and Spanish. Most of the materials are not dated and can be used year-round.
