1st Annual National Institutes of Health (NIH) Yoga Week, May 19-23, 2008
NIH premiers its first annual Yoga Week, highlighting the science and practice of yoga through a series of free events serving NIH employees and the public. Participants will not only learn about the benefits of yoga but also experience them first-hand through stretching and practice.

National Forum on Disability Issues featuring the 2008 Presidential Candidates, July 26, 2008, Columbus, OH

This forum, featuring the 2008 Presidential Candidates (invited) is a historic, nonpartisan forum on national disability policy. Registration is required to attend this event to commemorate the 18th anniversary of our civil rights law, the Americans with Disabilities Act. The forum will feature time slots for the presidential candidates to individually present their visions for the future of disability policy in America followed by questions from the audience, asked through a moderator.

1st Annual Charity Cruise for Amputees, Amputees on the Seas, New Jersey to Bermuda, October 18-23, 2008

Wheelchair Hockey League of Michigan
The purpose of this league is to provide an appropriate means for persons in wheelchairs to have the opportunity to play competitive floor hockey and have the chance to engage in the competition and excitement of the sport. The League includes players in manual and electric wheelchairs and currently has 36 players divided into four teams.
