Challenged Athlete Foundation (CAF) Multi-Sport Clinic for Physically Challenged Athletes, August 24, 2007, Chicago, Illinois

This free clinic sponsored by Accenture will be held at Lakeshore Park (808 North Lake Shore Drive) from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Participants will be able to try different sports and learn about cycling, stationary bikes, running, handcycles, racing chairs and the sport of triathlon from elite athletes with physical disabilities. Athlete mentors will share valuable techniques, tips, and tricks and American heroes from CAF's Operation Rebound program will also attend.

Veterans' Adaptive Activities Day, September 8, 2007, Chicago, Illinois

The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and the Chicago Park District invite you to a day of games, fun, food, music, and inclusive fitness for veterans with disabilities and their families and friends. Events will take place at Northerly Island in Chicago from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities will include handcycling, fishing, kayaking, golf, table games, tennis, bocce ball, quad rugby, sailing, rowing, and wheelchair sports such as football, basketball, and softball, as well as feature other adaptive sporting equipment.
