NCHPAD Video Corner: Exercise Program for Stroke Survivors - An Exercise Video (DVD/VHS) and Quick Series Booklet

Just in time to help celebrate May as National Stroke Month, NCHPAD and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) have developed a new resource: "Exercise Program for Stroke Survivors." This exercise video is designed specifically for individuals recovering from stroke, and features a 25-minute aerobic segment, strengthening and flexibility segment, and closed captioning for individuals with hearing impairments. The Quick Series Guide is an excellent pocket-sized quick reference guide for stroke survivors and fitness professionals that can be used while exercising in your home or by bringing it to the fitness center. Contents include general exercise guidelines and safety precautions, as well as clearly described and illustrated stretching and strength training exercises.
