Public Health:  Breast Milk and Children with a Disability

It's common knowledge that breast milk is unparalleled in its benefits to newborns and infants. Now that the fun of summer is over and school is about to begin, it is time to set fitness goals and stick to them. George T. Doran developed S.M.A.R.T. goals in 1981 and they have been modified and used for everything from management to fitness.

Research: The Effects of Breast Feeding on Child Disability

An extensive body of evidence suggests that breastfeeding is associated with improvements in health outcomes, infant’s physical growth, achievement of developmental milestones, cognitive ability, and long-term educational achievement. However, it remains unclear whether breastfeeding may reduce the risk of disability in the form of physical and cognitive limitations.

Think NCHPAD:Television Coverage of the Paralympics

The Paralympic Games take place in the same city and same venue as the Olympic Games two weeks after the Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games. It is the second largest sporting event in the world.   While there are many similarities between the Olympic and Paralympic Games, exposure and media coverage is not one of them.
