Notes

Camp Merry Heart is a coed residential and day camp program for people with disabilities established in 1949. Accredited by American Camping Association, Camp Merry Heart has specific services available for individuals with developmental, learning, and physical disabilities aged 5 to 80.The sessions are either 6 or 12 days long during the season from May to September. Facing new challenges, meeting new friends, accepting differences, and building worthwhile life skills are all a part of Camp Merry Heart's mission. Resident campers have the opportunity to take part in the TREC (Travel Recreation Experiences in Camping) Program. Trips are planned for different age groups and abilities. Camping experiences as well as "seeing the world as a tourist" are shared by all. Campers also participate in activities and events with peers without disabilities.
