Junior Adventure Camp is specially designed for Jr. Adventurers, both boys and girls, 8-12 years old of all abilities. Special needs can include, but are not limited to, CP, Autism, DD, SB, Visual Impairments, and Down Syndrome. The camp is designed to provide youth the opportunity to discover nature, boost self-esteem through challenging experiences and have fun in a safe, social environment. The camp will be based out of Breckenridge, CO. Through outdoor adventure activities, campers will have the opportunity to develop social skills, teamwork and life skills that will transfer into everyday life. Participants will be involved in cooking, cleaning and gear preparation during the course; however, the emphasis will be on having fun in a structured setting where activities include arts and crafts, non-competitive games, nature skills, campfires and river rafting. The rafting will take place near Kremling, CO on a scenic days journey down the Upper Colorado River. This stretch of river provides a calm, accessible corridor through Colorados natural landscape. Campers will be provided with minimal to moderate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
