Camp Fire USA Wilani Council youth programs offer rich development opportunities for children and families as they engage in all-inclusive, coeducational activities designed to develop self-esteem, decision-making skills, responsibility to self and community and outdoor skills. And to have fun!

Resident Camp Programs
  • Horse Back Riding - Camp Wilani is proud to provide programs for horseback riding and horsemanship to every resident camper! As a thrilling part of daytime activities, all aged campers from every unit will increase their skills and knowledge about the daily care of horses during their week at camp. A riding ability assessment survey will be sent to registered campers to return along with their health form prior to camp.
  • Native American Culture - Camp Fire has always borrowed from the rich traditions of our Native American Cultures. At Camp Wilani, all aged campers in all sessions may learn about the Native American tribes that once lived in this region. Daytime and evening events at our new tipis will focus on educating campers of indigenous ways through crafts, outdoor cooking, and sleeping in a tipi.
  • Aquatics Programs - Watersports are always a favorite past time for campers of all ages at Camp Wilani. Sunny day canoeing and paddle boating on Hani Lake make for wonderful leisure camp activities. And what could be better than a refreshing swim on a hot summer day? Take a plunge in our beautifully restored swimming pool or just bask in the sun poolside. Some campers even take the Polar Bear Swim challenge in the early morning hours!
  • More Activities - Enjoy archery, arts and crafts, biking, hiking our woodland trails and our zip-line over the lagoon.
During their 7-day session, resident campers are provided with comfortable sleeping quarters in cabins, yurts, A-frames or tipis, well-balanced meals in Beam Dining Hall, snacks, event supplies and well-trained adult supervision. Most of our summer program staff are college students majoring in education, recreation, art, natural sciences, child development or human service fields. All staff participate in a 12-day counselor training and First Aid certification. A camp nurse is on site all day and night to manage health and wellness.
