Notes

A unique blend of academics, confidence building and fun is offered through Lawrence School's Summer Challenge and Summer School programs.

Lawrence Summer School is a four-week, half-day (8:00 a.m. - 12 noon) academic program for students in grades 1 through students entering grade 6. An innovative curriculum enhances the learning style of bright students with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder. Classes are non-graded and ability-grouped with an average 7:1 student/teacher ratio. Students receive consistent remediation in reading, written expression, language arts and mathematics. Summer School teachers are all state-certified educators with specialized Lawrence School training.

Lawrence Summer Challenge is a four-week, half-day (12 noon to 5:00 p.m.) self-esteem building day camp for children entering 1st through 6th grades. Summer Challenge helps students gain self-confidence, trust, self-advocacy skills and responsibility in a fun and caring environment. Campers participate in a variety of structured and supervised activities, including swimming, outdoor education, safety and problem solving skills, as well as sports challenges and independent and group projects.
