Notes

Participation in a sport like sailing builds confidence and self esteem, while it challenges the whole person. The AWP?s mission is to provide watersports opportunities for everyone, regardless of disability, age, ability to pay and at all levels from supervised recreational sailing to independent racing competition.

The Sailing Center and the AWP are bustling with activity all summer long offering a range of programs. Instruction is available for the first time sailor, someone who's content being a passenger rather than "man the lines" or the competitive sailor excited to try his hand at racing the Martin 16. For the seasoned sailor private rentals are available to enjoy the freedom of being on the water. The AWP is also host to 2 Fundraisers, the Martin 16 Regatta and the "Chasing Champ" Pursuit Race
