The Eagle Mount day camp for children with physical, mental, and behavioral impairments began in 1992. Childrens Day Camp is designed to broaden the horizons of the campers, and give parents and caregivers some respite. Many different activities are enjoyed by the campers, including picnics, hikes where they are instructed in wilderness safety and environmentally friendly practices and learn about local plant life, and tours of local points of interest. Some arts and crafts are done, taking into consideration the various challenges of each participant. Camp runs during the summer months three days a week for 2 to 3 hours each day.
