Notes

Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding provides equine-assisted riding to people with disabilities, of all ages, regardless of economic status.

The Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Association will provide the means for physical, emotional and recreational benefits through equine activities to individuals with disabilities. The Association will encourage the spontaneous, joyful relationship which naturally occurs between horse and rider and results in improvement of the rider's physical well-being, confidence and self-esteem.

Therapeutic riding involves teaching the rider the necessary skills and techniques required to ride a horse as independently as possible. The emphasis is not only on the physical benefits of riding, but also on the development of the relationship between the rider and the horse.
