Notes

Illinois River Valley Special Recreation Association is the community Therapeutic Recreation program that serves residents of the Fon du Lac and Pekin Park Districts. The IRV-SRAis structured to provide participants with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy recreational experiences within the Park District and surrounding areas.

Regularly Scheduled Programs include:
  • Walking - During these sessions the participants will be able to get physical exercise at the EastSide Recreation Centre. The sessions will also include handouts and information about nutrition, weight, flexibility, etc. and a walking log that tracks the participants� progress. The sessions will always begin at 5 p.m. meeting at the EastSide Recreation Centre. The participants will be ready for pickup at 6 p.m. at the EastSide Recreation Centre.
  • Bowling - In these sessions, the participants will learn eye and hand coordination, teamwork and just plain have some fun!! We will meet at the Administration Center at 4 pm and head to Plaza Lanes in Washington. We will be arriving back and ready for pick up at the Administration Center at 6:30 pm.
