Notes

The Women's Health Center is a one-of-a kind fitness facility which helps you build more than muscle-you may also build friendships, confidence and healthier lifestyles.

Fitness classes offer a structured workout that includes a warm-up, workout segment and cool down.

Classes vary from beginning to intermediate and advanced levels of fitness.

Our fitness classes will help to decrease body fat, improve cardiovascular performance and increase muscular strength, endurance and flexibility.

We offer several different types of classes including:
  • PILATES - Pilates focuses on breathing and concentration, abdominal control, head, cervical spine, rib cage and pelvic placement. It balances the muscles and improves the way your body looks and feels.
  • Power - A great total body workout that challenges all major muscle groups. 60 minutes of stationary strength training using barbells. Appropriate for all levels.
  • Spinning - Spinning classes utilize specially designed stationary cycles which enable you to easily adjust the resistance to your own fitness level while still enjoying the motivation of a group setting.
Led by a specially trained instructor, these classes combine a foundation of basic cycling movements with positive motivational techniques.
  • Yoga - 50-60 minute class focusing on muscle movements, breathing, and energizing postures. Emphasizes proper form, strength building, and flexibility. Both beginning and advanced versions of movements will be demonstrated.
  • Step - 25 minutes of step aerobics, geared to beginners; 35-minute step aerobic segment, geared to intermediate to advanced participants.
  • Low-impact - 25-minute aerobic segment, consisting of low-impact movements.
  • Strictly Strength - A total strength workout focusing on sculpting all major muscle groups with an emphasis on abs and lower body.
  • Total body conditioning - A 30 minute class consisting of interval training, which aerobic and strength training segments are used, geared to beginning level participants.
