Kanata is a resident camp located on 150 acres of rolling hills outside of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Our picturesque setting, lakeside facilities, carefully selected staff, and emphasis on character development create another world far removed from everyday life.

Water and land activities abound at Kanata, and friendships flourish! Within this warm, family atmosphere, a child can meet new friends, build his or her skills, and develop the strength of his or her own character and personality. The health and safety of each camper is top priority at Kanata. Our 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio assures close supervision of all activities.

Boys and girls ages 6 - 15 come to Kanata from all over the United States as well as from many foreign countries. Campers can stay for one session or for multiple sessions. Being able to select the number of weeks appropriate for your child makes Kanata an affordable, flexible camping option.

Activities include kayaking, canoeing, swimming, archery, soccer, basketball, arts & crafts and more! Daily nature explorations include animal tracking, pond life, general ecology and forestry.
