Sonrisas Therapeutic Riding Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) organizatioon established in 1983 and incorporated as a separate non-profit corporation in 1987. Our mission is to provide therapy to persons with physical, mental, or emotional challenges through a carefully structured program of equine (horse-related) activities.

Currently, we serve over 85 therapeutic riders and 30-plus high school students in accelerated programs 20 weeks a year, 3 days a week, 4 classes a day. Riders range in age from 3 to 70-plus years old. We have a full time executive director, three part-time therapeutic riding instructors, a part-time stable manager and a part-time executive assistant.
