AQUATIC PROGRAM (AFYAP)
AFYAP classes focus on aquatic
exercises to increase range of
motion and to develop greater flexibility. These classes are taught by an instructor trained and certified
through the Arthritis Foundation.
AFYAP for adults is a recreational
exercise program designed to
accommodate the abilities of individuals
with arthritis and other
related diseases. These programs
are taught in a group setting with
activities and exercises to encourage
self care, provide social interaction,
improve muscular strength,
endurance and flexibility, maintain
independence, manage pain and
relieve symptoms of arthritis.
