Notes

The term hippotherapy literally means "treatment with the help of the horse." Specially trained therapists use the therapeutic treatment for clients with cognitive, physical and emotional disabilities. Therapists use the movement of the horse as a means to create more normal movements in the patient. It develops balance, strength, coordination and endurance.
