Located in SE Brainerd, MN, Mounted Eagles, Inc. is a PATH PREMIER ACCREDITED CENTER and has been providing therapeutic horsemanship to persons with disabilities since 1992.
Mounted Eagles enhances the lives of program participants, volunteers and the community by providing a safe and enjoyable environment where individuals with special needs benefit from therapeutic, developmental and educational equine-assisted activities.
Mounted Eagles serves over 68 riders with six horses, four PATH certified instructors and 50+ volunteers. Our riders range from 3 to 65 years of age with varied diagnoses including but not limited to: mild to severe Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, MS, seizure disorders, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and disorders resulting from exposure to drug and/or physical abuse by family members. We provide services that address any physical, mental, social, and/or emotional challenge that individuals might face. Our paid staff includes our Executive Director and PATH Certified Instructors who are paid only for the time they spend teaching lessons. The remainder of our staff consists of volunteers. We currently offer lessons three days per week, January thru December.
