Notes

Summer Camp introduces campers of all abilities to the challenges and responsibilities of taking care of horses. With an emphasis on learning respect and cooperation for each other, the campers' days will be filled with fun horse related activities that are geared toward developing riding and horsemanship skills.

With an emphasis on riding time and hands on training they strive to reach a balance between work and play. Campers will receive a riding lesson each day along with instruction in horse care, barn maintenance, tack care and safety. In addition to developing riding skills campers will have an opportunity to express their creativity with various art materials, explore nature and their surroundings, swim, and make new friends.

The camp is for girls and boys ages 7 to 12 of all abilities and riding skills. Camp is offered in one-week sessions. Twelve weekly campers are divided into two riding groups, each with one instructor and CITs. It has been suggested that two sessions are best for beginners. Private lessons for beginners before camp may be available.
