Shady Hollow Assisted Riding, a non-profit agency, incorporated in 1998, provides a supportive equine environment where individuals with physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities can experience therapeutic, social and educational rewards.
Individuals of all ages, disabilities and conditions can utilize therapeutic riding and other equine activities to improve flexibility, balance and muscle strength. Individuals with mental or emotional disabilities can form unique relationships with the horses that lead to increased confidence, patience and self-esteem. Being on horseback also provides a sense of independence for the rider.
