Our Mission
To provide a pleasant and natural environment towards enhancing the physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities of children and young adults with special needs through the experience of equestrian therapy.
A group of trained professionals, unified by their passion for this therapeutic program, came together to plan for the future site and program development of Reins of Life. On October 8, 1993, Reins of Life became established as a nonprofit corporation for the purpose of providing therapeutic horseback riding. The program operates from beautiful Chester County horse farms, offering therapeutic horseback riding exclusively for children and young adults with special needs.
Under the supervision of trained personnel, Reins of Life develops the most beneficial therapeutic riding program to meet the needs and goals of our riders. Carefully trained horses, special equipment and procedures are used to ensure each rider's safety. The therapeutic qualities of horseback riding are recognized by many medical professionals, including the American Physical therapy Association, and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
