Adaptive Sailing Instruction:
Our instruction program is designed to teach people with disabilities the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to sail. We work within your range of abilities without limiting the events you can participate in.

While Sailing includes physical maneuvering, more important aspects include understanding the boat, wind and water, giving directions to the crew, and working together with a team. Hoofers will develop your skills so that you feel confident on the water. Instruction stresses safety and fun and can be modified in numerous ways to fit individual needs. Audio recordings of sailing manuals, as well as sign language interpreters can be provided when requested in advance.

Even more than a sailing club, Hoofer Sailing is a social organization. Pirate's day, Commodore's cup, and Friday night socials are great ways to meet other club members.
