Discovery is dedicated to fostering self-sufficiency in children and adults who are blind or visually-impaired, by improving their mobility, confidence, independence, and social skills through involvement in physical activities. Discovery addressed these goals by pioneering methods for teaching challenging sports to people with little or no vision, by involving families and friends in these activities, and by promoting positive public awareness of individuals with visual impairment and their accomplishments.
