As Houston's most complete medical/fitness health facility, the 80,000-square-foot Wellness Center, located adjacent to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, offers a variety of fitness, wellness, therapeutic and psychological well-being programs unmatched in the Houston area.

The Wellness Center opened in November 1999 to provide a holistic approach to health that addresses every aspect of your wellbeing, not just the physical component. We believe that a balance of mind, body and spirit must be achieved if you are to have lifelong health and wellness.

Our programs integrate the physical, psychological, social and spiritual components of wellness to help people of all ages and fitness levels live healthy lifestyles, reduce health risks and grow personally. Whether you're looking for ongoing fitness, rehabilitation, peak performance training or spiritual rejuvenation, the Wellness Center has hundreds of programs that address nearly every aspect of wellbeing. Special Populations Classes
  • Diabetic Exercise - Designed for people with Type I or Type II diabetes who need help in getting better control of their blood sugars by participating in a regular, safe and effective exercise program. Participants also learn proper eating habits and effective self-management skills. Blood sugars will be measured before and after each exercise session. Fees apply.
  • Strong Bones (Osteoporosis) - Move, stretch, balance and perform light weight-bearing exercise to help guard against or live with osteoporosis.
  • Healthy Hearts - A supervised, safe class with special assistance for those with heart-related conditions or involved with post-cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Fit 4 Two (Prenatal ) - Enjoy relaxing water exercises that promote a healthier pregnancy and faster recovery by improving circulation, muscular relaxation, balance, posture, energy level and overall health. This class consists of breathing techniques, cardiovascular and muscle strengthening exercises. Physician consent to exercise is advised.
  • Feldenkrais workshops - Developed by the famous scientist Moshe Feldenkrais, the Feldenkrais Method marks the most sophisticated use of brain research in the movement industry. These gentle movement classes change the way you stand, breath, and your overall ease of motion. You can expect taller posture, improved flexibility, and less chance of injury. Fees apply.
