The focus of the Covenant LifeStyle Centre is to rehabilitate cardiac patients, design exercise and/or therapeutic programs for patients of other illnesses and promote wellness in healthy individuals.

The 30,000-plus square foot "preventative care" facility features a full range of equipment designed to help maintain a fit lifestyle, including:
  • 9,000 square-foot exercise area
  • 75 pieces of aerobic equipment
  • 2 racquetball courts
  • Therapy pool
  • Lap swimming
  • Dry sauna
  • Aerobic studio; Indoor walking/jogging track
  • Outdoor track - 1/5 of a mile
  • Massage therapy room

Cardiac Rehabilitation
The Heart Care Program at the LifeStyle Centre is specially designed for men and women of all ages recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery or cardiovascular disease, and individuals at high risk for developing heart problems.

Sports Medicine
The Orthopedic Reconditioning Program at the LifeStyle Centre benefits patients who seek to continue strength conditioning at a reasonable, self-paced price.

Wellness Classes - A variety of exercise classes are available at the LifeStyle Centre, including:
  • Belly Buster - Fifteen minutes of abdominal conditioning to help tone your abs.
  • Cross Training - Total variety! This workout combines power pacing, running/jogging and weight lifting into one tough workout. Every muscle in your body will be targeted while fat burning and cardio strengthening are maximized.
  • Diabetes Exercise Class - A supervised and individualized exercise program for diabetics.
  • Fat Burner - Burn calories in this 1-hour class of step, weights and toning.
  • Grand-bodies - Start out with group walking/marching then finish up with 30 minutes of stretching exercises. (Being a "grandparent" is not required.)
  • Kickboxing - Cardio workout that incorporates kicks and boxing moves for a tough workout.
  • Lengthen & Strengthen - An awesome combo class of yoga and Pilates which incorporates strength training with flexibility moves. Any fitness level can do this.
  • Pilates Method - Based on the idea of muscle control, this class encompasses the abdominals, lower back, hips and buttocks. Learn that control comes from the core: abs and back strength; each move serves a specific function.
  • Power Pacing - Beginner class ("first gear") includes 5-10 minute introduction/bike adjustment; 25-30 minute cardio, cool down and stretch. Intermediate classes (second and third gear) are for advanced levels. NOTE: all classes can be modified through increasing or decreasing the resistance by the participant.
  • PowerStep - One hour of fun, guaranteed to work up a sweat.
  • Pump it Up - Give your metabolism a boost! The latest in-group exercise; an entire class of weighted/resistance exercises that also incorporates some cardio.
  • Self-Defense/Karate Class - This class will teach you self defense moves, as well as basic Karate.
  • Ski Mania - This class is devoted to getting you in prime skiing condition. Your muscles and cardiovascular system will thank you. This cross training style class will help you enjoy your ski vacation to its fullest!
  • Stretching - Total body stretching for all ages and all kinds of fitness levels, using ropes and mats in a relaxing atmosphere.
  • Swingin' Seniors - One hour of low-impact step and toning to the sounds of big band, country or classical music - for the "young at heart."
  • Weighted Workout - Boost metabolism with this workout that incorporates resistance and weight training (including new "slow weighted" moves) through the entire hour to increase muscle endurance and lean muscle mass - also a great cardio workout.
  • Weighted Circuit Training - Shape and tone your entire body with weights, bands, tubing, Pilates rings and any creative interval training the instructor can come up with, Increase muscle mass, burn fat and challenge your cardio endurance.
  • Yoga - Get "centered" with this class - designed to improve strength and flexibility in a relaxing atmosphere. Focus on mind, body and spirit.
Water Aerobics Classes include:
  • Arthritis and Fibromyalgia Class - Exercises involving joints and light weight-bearing exercises; very low-impact.
  • BabyCise - Water aerobics classes for moms-to-be and new moms.
  • Parkinson's Class - Exercises for those with Parkinson's disease; low-impact and lots of fun.
  • Shallow Water Aerobics - High-impact and toning.
  • Water Walking I - Low-impact cardio exercise and toning.
  • Water Walking II - Moderate-impact and toning.
