Their support allows us to offer a restricted campership program to supplement those who cannot afford to pay the full camp fee. We encourage campers and families to see fundraising opportunities within their own communities as well. Parents may elect to use our payment plan option to pay the camp fee in several installments. The final payment must be made two weeks before the session starts.

Located in the San Bernadino Mountains, Camp Conrad-Chinnock offers a recreational, social and educational opportunity for diabetic youth and their families. Campers, medical and program staff share friendship and support. Campers are taught diabetes self management skills in a fun, interactive, safe environment. Our program includes water activities in a heated pool, arts and crafts, nature activities, archery, rock climbing, hiking, theme days, lake canoeing, volleyball, basketball, and mountain biking along with medical education and self knowledge.

All sessions are led by a pediatric endocrinologist, and a team of physicians, nurses and dietitians. The camp has registered dietitians on staff. Meals and snacks are planned based on a carohydrate counting system.

Youth and Teens

Camp Conrad-Chinnock offers three one-week sessions for youth, each packed with a variety of adventurous age-appropriate activities, including mountain biking, dances, and hiking expeditions. These sessions create a special place where youth and teens develop relationships that last a lifetime while exploring emerging concerns and social issues. The medical program is designed to impart self-management skills which can lead to a longer and healthier life. All cabins are fully enclosed to accommodate eight to ten youth and trained counselor. Attendance at these sessions is restricted to youth and teens with diabetes.
