Camp Aurora offers an opportunity for children with diabetes to build ndependence and learn new diabetes management skills. Camp medical staff provides campers with supervision, information and opportunities to practice and improve their diabetes management so that they can live successfully with diabetes in any situation. With a great selection of activities, campers can spend the day having fun while knowing staff are there to support and guide them.
Older youth, ages 13 to 18, have an opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills under the supervision of adult counselors and health care professionals by becoming a CIT, or Counselor-in-Training.
