Notes

Camp Glencoe is an intensive six-week boarding program specially designed for children who experience the difficulties associated with dyslexia. The camp's relaxed, fun atmosphere and the one-on-one tutorials allow children to strengthen their reading an writing skills according to their individual needs-and enjoy academic and social success outside the traditional classroom setting.

Each camp day consists of:
  • One hour of one-on-one tutoring
  • Independent study period
  • Small group directed reading time
  • Optional small group math and writing classes
A series of standardized tests are administered at the beginning and end of the of the camp season to determine each camper's academic progress. Individual parent conferences and written reports are given at the end of the summer to review strengths and outline areas of growth and summarize the individual gains.
