Notes

Camp Phoenix 2009, located at the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisc., is a week-long overnight camp for children and teenagers ages 817 with epilepsy. Its a great opportunity for kids to experience the fun of camp activitiesswimming, fishing, sports, hiking and more all designed to be accessible and adapted to campers individual needs and abilities, all in a safe, medically monitored setting.

Scholarships are available for qualified individuals, based on availability and financial need.

Across the country, Epilepsy Foundation summer camps offer kids with epilepsy a chance to spend time with peers and participate in activities such as swimming, water skiing, tubing, canoeing, boating, fishing, arts and crafts, nature appreciation and overnight camping.

But it's not just about a week of fun away from home. A week at camp is often a life changing experience; full of chances to build confidence, independence and a healthy sense of self-worth.
