Staff Training and Certification
Staff Training: All Therapeutic Program instructors are PATH Intl. certified. All therapists performing hippotherapy are licensed by the state as well as through the American Hippotherapy Association, Inc.
Staff Certification:Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Intl. Premier Accredited Center
Participants Served
Age range of participants: 2 yrs or older for hippotherapy, 4 yrs or older for therapeutic horsemanship, to no limit as long as it's not a contraindication to your health to participate in equine activities.
Adaptive Equipment
Adaptive equipment available
Safety is our priority. We provide helmets for all individuals participating. We also have different types of adaptive tack. We are fortunate to have a SureHands lift for accessibility and use to help individuals that use wheelchairs for mobility to mount the horse.
Membership Fees
Fee to participate in the Program : As a non-profit, Chastain Horse Park subsidizes 50% of the cost of our services. Therefore the other 50% is covered by program fees. Please contact our offices for more information regarding fees. Chastain Horse Park does have a scholarship fund available for those that qualify for financial assistance.
