Notes

Open to all independent individuals with physical disabilities. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will take you deep into the Alaska Range. Ski planes land in the shadow of Mount McKinley, for a week of ski touring, ice and rock climbing, and relaxed glacier living.

No experience necessary.

Spots are limited and filling quickly.

Over the course of a week in Alaska, guests will fly in ski-equipped bush planes from the small outpost of Talkeetna to the Pika Glacier in the Alaska Range. Mountain Trip guides and TASP personnel will spend four days helping guests explore the area commonly known as Little Switzerland and learn the basics of glacier mountaineering. Three nights will be spent camping in the snow, skiing or snowshoeing, and perhaps climbing a peak or two as appropriate. This magical area boasts granite peaks with mythical names such as the Royal Tower, the Trolls and the Throne. It doesnt take long for visitors to find themselves under their spell. At the end of our glacier tour, well load up our ski plane and fly back to Talkeetna. The following day, the group will travel up one of the three rivers which converge at Talkeetna and spend the day fishing for salmon with Mahays Riverboat Service. The next day we will travel back to Anchorage to make connections for flights home.
