The MDWSSC/Cicero Flyers softball team began playing in 2007.This team was founded to expand access for individuals with disabilities to actively participate in America�s Greatest Pastime.

Since our beginning, the MDWSSC/Cicero Flyers have not only been competitive but consistently improve in national ranking every year. With a 9th place in 2007 and a Division II Championship in 2008 the Flyers are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with on the national scene. The game is played on a hard surface parking lot under the official rules of 16-inch slow pitch softball, as approved by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), with certain exceptions, as outlined by the National Wheelchair Softball Association.
