Notes

Alpenglow Adventures has begun the Worlds First Adventure Program of its kind for those who cannot walk and it extends a huge welcome to all able bodied hikers and trekkers to join our trips and to participate with us to support our effort. Jim Ebert, with the support and encouragement from the Cardinal Hill Healthcare System, has begun the very first offered Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona hiking adventure trip offerings in the world for those with disabilities who cannot walk and the very first offered ascents to the Uhuru summit on Mount Kilimanjaro for those who cannot walk, or who cannot walk very well. We are using a Trailrider for the narrow trail above the 15,520 foot Kibo Hut on the Marangu route, and on the Grand Canyon National Park narrow trail descent to the bottom for anyone who cannot walk. We are also using the Kili-kart, which allows each participant to help with the pushing and the braking of the wheels so they can contribute toward their adventure goal. We are the only one in the world in possession of both the Trailrider and the Kili-kart trail transport devices for use on our trips and we are the only one in the world offering this service to anyone in the world who cannot walk, or not walk very well.
