Notes

There's a new adventure waiting for you at Camp Fun in the Sun! What better way to spend part of your summer than at a cool camp with kids just like you? Camp Fun in the Sun is camp where diabetic kids can get outside, make friends and have fun. A typical day could start with a refreshing jump in the lake. Then its off to arts and crafts, basketball or a hike in the woods. The afternoon might bring swimming, slip-n-slide or maybe even a little game of dunk the camp counselor. A round of Capture the Flag often follows dinner, and our day winds down with songs and stories around a giant campfire. Dont forget the ghost stories!

Financial help is available for families in need, so if money is an issue, please apply for a scholarship.

Camp Fun in the Sun is located at Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center, an exciting outdoor location situated on Twinlakes in northern Idaho, about 5 miles north of Rathdrum. The camp features cabins that sleep campers and counselors. With many on-site activities, Camp is only an hour drive from Spokane, Washington.

Camp Fun in the Sun was founded more than 20 years ago as a safe, enjoyable, summer camp for children and teens with diabetes. Today, its still a place to find adventure and make memories for life. At Camp Fun in the Sun, campers have a chance to spend time with other kids living with diabetes, learn to balance their daily activities and have summer fun the way it was meant it to be. Located at Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center in Rathdrum, Idaho, Camp Fun in the Sun is recognized by the American Camp Association, and has maintained accreditation through the ACA since 2000.
