Notes

Adaptive Sports and Activities are designed for people who have a physical disability and/or a visual impairment and who do not have a significant cognitive disability. NSSRA, in cooperation with six other northern area special recreation associations (SRAs), presents the "Northern Illinois Adaptive Sports" program (NIAS). Through this cooperative, any resident of the seven SRA communities may participate in an adaptive sports training or recreation program hosted by any one of the cooperating agencies at an in-district rate. Each agency offers programs designed for individuals having a physical disability as their primary disability. NSSRA welcomes program ideas and suggestions by participants and others.
