The Tikvah Program of Camp Ramah in Wisconsin provides a blend of individualized support and integration into the regular camp program for 13-18 year olds with learning problems and social difficulties including Asperger�s Syndrome. Tikvah operates as a division within the regular camp structure. Tikvah camper cabins are attached to mainstream camper cabins. Campers in the Tikvah Program participate in swimming, boating, sports, arts & crafts, nature, music and Judaic classes. They also participate in social skills training led by a senior staff member. Tikvah counselors are specially selected and receive additional training during staff week and throughout the season. The Tikvah Program offers an introductory 4-week program, "Taste of Tikvah," as well as the full 8-week session. Selected Tikvah program graduates who are high school graduates may participate in the Vocational Program. This 8-week program blends vocational skill training and work experience with Jewish communal living as part of the Ramah Wisconsin community.
