The City of Eugene is a public provider of community recreation services for people with disabilities. Services include recreation programs that are adapted to accommodate a participant's disability, including individualized and group recreation for youth, adults and seniors. Services also include group skills training, assistance in making activities accessible, provision of adapted equipment, and referral or information assistance.

Adaptive Recreation Services offers programs in both small and large group settings in the community. Our objective is to integrate persons with disabilities into community based programs and assist individuals to achieve a maximum level of independence in their recreational lifestyles. Programs are designed to serve the special needs of our participants and include the following:

Sports - Snow Skiing, Water-skiing, Biking, GlideCycle, Rock Climbing, Kayaking, River Rafting

Activities and Outings - Exercise Classes, Cultural Outings, Arts & Crafts, Zoo Trips, Picnics, Field Trips, Theme Parties, Day Camps, Dances, Special Events
