The North Metro Miracle League (NMML) provides adapted sports programs for children and adults with disabilities. We have several age brackets and levels of competition. If a player requires some on field assistance he or she will be teamed up with a volunteer "Buddy". The "Buddy Program" is an opportunity for children and adults to interact and share athletic and social experiences. This interaction facilitates communication, understanding, a sense of camaraderie and lasting friendships.
Although the various activities may only involve a few hours a week, we know these activities change attitudes and pave the way to new possibilities for everyone involved. Players, parents, buddies, coaches, volunteers and members of the surrounding community began to focus on the need to include and value ALL PEOPLE .
