Description
  • The mission of The Center is to enable persons with physical disabilities to enhance the quality of their lives.

In 2005, operations were moved into a new 35,000 square-foot facility built to accommodate the community's increasing need and demand our services. This state-of-the-art Center incorporates a "universal design," which features creative solutions to everyday issues of accessibility and use. It has tripled our capacity and enabled us to serve a greater number of people in the Tulsa metropolitan area.

Notes

The Center provides a wide variety of services for persons with physical disabilities, including:

REHABILITATIVE SERVICES
Provide rehabilitative, fitness, and wellness services to maintain and enhance functional independence. Goals are to improve strength, endurance, stamina, overall functioning, and cognitive skills to prevent secondary disabilities. COMMUNITY REINTEGRATION SERVICES
These services promote active participation in various community activities through outings to cultural and sporting events and other celebrations.

ADAPTIVE REINTEGRATION
The goal is to remove barriers that keep individuals from participating directly in social and environmental activities, and allow people with physical disabilities to play, perform, and create, rather than observe from the sidelines.
