The Ability Center's Recreation Inclusion Specialists assists both individuals with disabilities and recreation providers in their efforts to improve access to community recreation activities and programs. Ability Center staff also use recreation activities as a primary method to assist with improvement of independent living skills. Participants involved with The Ability Center's recreation activities have the opportunity to establish goals and receive support related to community recreation participation, independent living skills and leadership skill development. Community Recreation Providers are supported by Recreation staff through technical assistance and training aimed at increasing accessibility to programs and facilities.
