Description
  • Since 1985 BOK Ranch, a nonprofit organization, has dedicated itself to providing therapeutic horseback riding lessons for individuals with special needs. Lessons are held at The Woodside Horse Park (not at the office in Redwood City). The name of the ranch, BOK, came from the initials of the names of the program's founders, but also simply means to "Be Okay".

B.O.K. Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Situated on 272 acres at the Horse Park at Woodside, our facility includes well kept arenas, large pasture and turnout areas, and miles of trails. We have been accredited since 1985 by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA), and all of our instructors are NARHA certified. We maintain our status as a NARHA Premier Accredited Center, meaning we meet the highest standards for health and safety to promote the well-being of all our participants and horses.
