Description
  • Galter LifeCenter is a 69,000 square foot medical fitness center affiliated with Swedish Covenant Hospital and the Evangelical Covenant Church. The LifeCenter offers a full range of programs and services that will suit the needs of just about anyone. You will find mind-body programs such as yoga, Balletone, pilates and tai chi, as well as sports performance training programs such as Precision Cycling, the Triathlon Training Program and Boot Camp Fitness. We are the only fitness center in the city to offer four Body Training Systems programs, which are licensed programs that require instructors teaching these programs to have additional certifications. We also offer programs such as BOSU, Balance, Periodization and more.

There are a wide variety of health and wellness programs and services such as massage, reflexology, watsu and acupuncture. We have dietitians and personal trainers to help you with weight and fitness goals. Our service varieties are endless and there is plenty to choose from. Swedish Covenant Hospital’s cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy and pain management programs are located at the LifeCenter. The integration of wellness-based and medical services provides an unmatched continuum of care that can only be found at a medical-based fitness center.

The overall objective of the Galter LifeCenter is clear: to build relationships and change lives by helping individuals find the best fitness program for their lifestyle. Galter LifeCenter seeks to create a sense of camaraderie among staff and members that will last a lifetime.

Galter LifeCenter is the right place for anyone who chooses to be healthy and feel better physically, manage weight or physical conditions, have more energy, or reach new fitness goals. The LifeCenter also provides the right support with an environment that encourages and enables individuals to pursue fitness from a holistic perspective. There are many credentialed, multi-lingual fitness professionals on staff who have the skills, knowledge and professional guidance needed to improve nutrition, manage stress, prevent illness and injury, and help individuals live purposefully. The Galter LifeCenter facility is named for Chicago philanthropists Jack and Dollie Galter. Their generous gift, along with the contributions of many others, helped make Galter LifeCenter's dream a reality.
