Beneficial Designs is working on The Development of Uniform Standards for Cognitive Technologies project as part of the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for the Advancement of Cognitive Technologies (RERC-ACT) awarded to the University of Colorado Denver, see www.beneficialdesigns.com and click on "Development of Uniform Standards for Cognitive Technologies." For more information on the RERC-ACT, please visit www.rerc-act.org.

We are developing standards for Assistive Cognitive Technologies and we need your input! We will use input from key stakeholders (people with cognitive disabilities and people who work with this population) to develop standards for Assistive Cognitive Technologies, including household products, consumer electronics, and the Internet. Please help us identify the most important products to target and develop an Ease-of-Use Rating System for everyday products used by people of varying cognitive abilities by completing our survey.

Survey Info:
The survey can be completed during a telephone interview on a day and time that is most convenient for you. Alternatively, the survey is available on-line http://www.beneficialdesigns.com/236survey/236_info.html (click on Survey). Or, if it is more convenient for you, you may write your answers on the attached survey document (236_Survey_ACT_Products_2010-02-16.pdf) and return the survey to us by email (seanna@beneficialdesigns.com) or fax (775-783-8823). It will require approximately 20 minutes of your time to complete this survey. Your contribution to our research project would be greatly appreciated.
