In 2010, the Illinois Department of Public Health's Office of Women's Health (OWH) received funding from the Illinois General Assembly to support Women's Health Mini-Grants to enable communities to begin or to enhance women's health programming efforts in the areas of outreach, health promotion and education.

The OWH will be offering four mini-grant programs and two pilot projects during fiscal year 2011. Potential applicants can select from a menu of programs addressing cardiovascular disease, childhood obesity, healthy body image or comprehensive women's health in their communities.
