The Director of the Disability Cultural Center will work collaboratively with diverse constituents to coordinate educational, cultural, and social activities on disability. The Director is a full-time professional staff member responsible for the overall management of the Center. The position includes administrative, program development/student engagement, outreach/education, managerial, and organizational functions which support the function of the Center and the broader commitment to inclusivity and social justice at Syracuse University. The director supervises at least one graduate assistant, as well as any student volunteers. Additionally, the director works in collaboration with student affairs, academic affairs (including the Office of Disability Services), and administrative units across the University to promote a supportive and inclusive campus environment for people with disabilities.

Qualifications:
Master\'s degree in higher education,foundations of education, public administration, policy studies, student affairs, or related field required (graduate certificate/degree in disability studies and doctorate degree in any of the above fields preferred). Three or more years successful post-master\\\'s experience in program development, management, and leadership required. Experience with training, group facilitation, program implementation and/or individual advising of students with disabilities in a non-therapeutic context. Well-established track record of collaboration and programmatic success, as well as leadership among faculty and staff. Sensitivity and understanding of the complex and diverse needs and concerns of students with disabilities and the disability community, including experience assessing evolving needs and addressing them. Experience in the realm of disability advocacy, disability/human rights, social justice, and/or disability culture.
