SUMMARY: Senior level career position responsible for the development and implementation of Wilderness Inquiry�s adventure travel programs. Wilderness Inquiry (WI) is a nonprofit organization, serving people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities through integrated outdoor adventure programs. The Director of Operations must provide dynamic leadership to all aspects of WI�s program by setting goals, organizing and directing staff, and evaluating program activities to achieve identified goals. Works with WI management team to create programs that fulfill WI�s mission and support the financial needs of the organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated success in management and supervisory roles. Experience and aptitude in budget planning and management. Knowledge of outdoor industry required. Ability to plan, implement, and follow-up events and activities involving staff, customers, and volunteers. Excellent oral, written communication skills. Experience working with people with physical and cognitive disabilities and people of diverse races and cultures desirable. Experience with Macintosh computers, Filemaker Pro databases and Microsoft Office desirable. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
