Support, create, and coordinate capacity development activities and technical assistance for participating sites including: Learn the Signs. Act Early.(LTSAE) State Summit Teams, University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs), Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Programs, and State Disability and Health programs under a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD). The purpose of the cooperative agreement is to strengthen the nation�s capacity to carry out public health activities in the areas of birth defects, developmental disabilities, and health promotion for people living with disabilities.

Required Competencies

  • Experience in providing technical assistance and consultation in public health and disability.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using word processing, database and spreadsheet software, and using web tools to communicate and exchange information.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through writing.
  • Demonstrated data management, progress report, and evaluation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee a number of simultaneous activities that have multiple components.
  • Demonstrate professionalism with all constituents of the AUCD and CDC.
