Wheelchair Curling Rules


  • Stones are thrown from a stationary wheelchair that is positioned so the stone is aligned with the center line.
  • As the stone is thrown, the wheels of the chair must remain in contact with the ice.
  • The delivery of the stone may come from one-of-two ways; either by an arm-hand release or by an approved delivery stick.
  • The stone must be clear of contact from the hand or delivery stick before the stone reaches the hog line on the delivering end.
  • A stone is in play as it reaches the hog line at the delivering end.
  • Sweeping is not permitted in wheelchair curling.
