Medica Foundation Healthy Living for Children Grants in MN, WI, ND, SD, Deadline: June 22, 2007

Healthy Living for Children is a funding opportunity designed to modify and enhance lifestyles to achieve optimal health status and quality of life. Priority will be given to programs that target physical activity, nutrition, weight management and obesity in children and adolescents.

National Spina Bifida Initiatives: Prevention, Resources, and Quality of Life Grant, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, July 5, 2007

The purpose is to enhance and market prevention education regarding folic acid; expand prevention and quality of life programs; provide and evaluate the Spina Bifida Association's information resources; and identify ways to utilize a clinic network.


FITNESSGRAM/ACTIVITYGRAM Grant, Cooper Institute

This program supports empirical studies that will further the mission and application of the FITNESSGRAM/ACTIVITYGRAM program. This includes promoting awareness about the importance of physical activity and fitness, assessing the fitness and activity levels of children in grades K-12, and helping them develop patterns of lifelong, health-promoting physical activity.
